ECSTATIC DANCE UBUD<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n \n

Ecstatic Dance is a global movement that has been active around the world since the mid 90\u2019s, originally inspired by Gabrielle Roth\u2019s 5Rhythms.<\/p>\n

At the Yoga Barn, ecstatic dance is a weekly community gathering that takes place on Friday nights and Sunday mornings. Friday is more of an adults only vibe and Sundays is more family friendly, as the Garden Kafe<\/a> serves a delicious vegetarian community buffet.<\/p>\n

Each dance is facilitated by a different professional DJ who will hold a safe and sacred container for you, as s\/he guides you on a journey through the music to where all can connect to a common source of ecstatic energy on the dance floor.<\/p>\n

Each ecstatic dance at the Yoga Barn ends with a very special closing; either a delicate closing set or with sound healing or singing and chanting, and is followed by live music out on the deck, better known as \u201cthe Yoga Barn Sunday Sessions,\u201d featuring an array of amazing local musicians.<\/p>\n

Please note that on Sundays children under 12 are not permitted into ecstatic dance and, on Fridays, it’s best to remain 18+.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

How to buy tickets to Ecstatic Dance<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n \n \n

It’s important to know that Ecstatic Dance sells out very fast and it’s best to buy in advance, through the ticketing engine Megatix. You can also buy tickets the day of, by showing up 60 mins in advance and waiting in-person. Waiting in-person for ecstatic dance is a fun, fun experience, everyone is in a great mood.<\/p>\n

There are two studios with limited capacity where you can dance. First is the upper level where the DJ plays, which sells out in advance very quickly and the lower Studio which is less expensive and caters to anyone who walks in or misses the opportunity to go upstairs.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n

Ecstatic Dance Age Limits: for safety & liability reasons, children under the age of 12 are not allowed to join Ecstatic Dance, as the dance floor is very crowded, and we don\u2019t want any injuries.<\/p>\n

That said, if you have children that you would like to bring with you while you dance, please make sure there is a caregiver looking after them, especially little ones\u2026.. The Yoga Barn staff is already very occupied and cannot look after children.<\/p>\n
